Excel not open double-clicking Excel embed object due to wrong option set.
Cause:
The problem occurs because the 'Ignore Other Applications' check box in the 'Options' dialog box is selected, causing Excel to ignore all requests from other applications.
Solution:
Clear the 'Ignore Other Applications' check box.
1) In Excel, select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'General' tab.
3) Clear the 'Ignore Other Applications' check box.
